The shocking advances of generative AI have left me thinking a lot about the Star Trek episode, The Ultimate Computer, in which Captain Kirk is afraid of losing his job to a computer. As someone who has dreamt o being a filmmaker since he was a child, advances in AI generated video have kept me up at night. Here’s why AI prompters don’t deserve the title of “artist” and why this technology is so scary.
