In the past the only way we could interact with our technology was via mouse or other direct input device. In the recent years with the growth of devices like Smartphones e.g. Apple iPhone and Tablet PCs like the Apple iPad the development of interactive touchscreen technology has lead to huge advances in the way we can use these devices in our daily and business lives.
The growth in the Apps or applications marketplace has pushed this technology to its limits and beyond to a point that with a gesture or wave of a hand we can control and interact with our devices. So maybe the onscreen technology in films such as Minority Report is not so far away after all.
